Chipotle Chicken Nugget and Honey Dijon Sliders

Chipotle-chicken-nugget-and-honey-dijon-sliders

There’s just something about sliders served on super soft rolls that makes them taste so good.

One of the softest rolls that comes to my mind are Kings Hawaiian rolls.

They’re so soft that you have to be careful not to squeeze too hard when taking them out of the package so they’ll keep their shape.  And they even have a wheat version of these delish rolls.

Since one food thought leads to another with me, the first thing I picture with a Kings Hawaiian roll is a fried chicken slider.

But not just any fried chicken slider, one that’s seasoned with Chipotle and drenched in a honey Dijon sauce.

And there you have it, this was my thought process when this ultra delish slider was born….one delicious food thought leading to another.

This slider is actually kind of a “sideways” slider, more like a mini hot dog bun style slider.

And have you ever tried chicken nuggets dipped in a honey Dijon sauce?  It’s soooo good.

So can you imagine how good it tastes on a slider with fried chicken?  Yes, it’s YUM with capital letters.

Have a super great week and thank you for stopping by!

Let’s check out the ingredients.

Add a pinch of flour to the oil and when it bubbles then add the pieces of chicken to the pan.

When the bottom side of the chicken turns a golden color (about 3 or 4 minutes) turn the chicken over. Continue to turn the chicken as it cooks until all sides of the chicken are a golden color (about 4 or 5 more minutes).  If the chicken is browning too quickly turn the heat down just a bit.

Remove the chicken from the pan and set it on a small rack to drain off the excess oil.
