Peach, Lemon and Iced Tea Agua Fresca

Ingredients

For the Cold Brewed Tea (Can Substitute with Prepared Ice Tea of Your Choice):

  • 2 cups cold water
  • 3 black tea bags

For the Agua Fresca:

  • 2 cups Cold brewed tea
  • 3 fresh peaches skin and pit removed and discarded
  • 1 whole lemon juiced
  • 1 tablespoon honey (or to taste) (if preferred, use sugar to taste)
  • 4 peach slices for garnish
  • Ice cubes for serving

Instructions

For the Cold Brewed Tea:

  • To make the cold brewed tea for this recipe which is 2 servings, use a thoroughly cleaned medium-size glass container with a lid and fill it with 2 cups of cold water, add 3 regular size black tea bags (with the strings hanging over the top edge of the container), cover it with a lid and put it in the refrigerator overnight for at least 6 hours.
  • After its brewed, remove and discard the tea bags from the container and store the tea covered with a lid in the refrigerator for not more than a day for the best flavor and freshness.

For the Aqua Fresca:

  •  Cut the peach flesh into medium size chunks.
  •  In a blender, add the cold brewed tea, peaches, lemon juice and honey.
  •  Blend on the smoothie or juice setting until smooth.
  •  Do a taste test and add more honey (or sugar) if needed.
  •  Serve right away over a lot of ice.
