Kiwi Berry Smoothie

This colorful kiwi berry smoothie is as delicious as it is pretty.

Ingredients

For the Smoothie:

  • 2/3 cup plain yogurt
  • 2 whole kiwi fruit peeled and cut into large pieces
  • 1/4 cup honey or to taste
  • 16 fresh or frozen strawberries
  • 1/2 cup fresh or frozen blueberries
  • 2 teaspoons flax seed optional
  • 3/4 cup ice cubes or crushed ice

For Garnish:

  • Leftover cut fruit and berries

  • Blender

Instructions

For the Smoothie:

  • To a blender, add yogurt, honey, kiwi fruit, strawberries, blueberries, flax seed (optional), and ice. 
    Blend until smooth.
  • If using frozen berries or if the smoothie is too thick, add just a little liquid at a time (such as water, almond milk, orange juice) until it is at the desired consistency.
  • After the smoothie is blended, do a taste test and add more honey if needed.

Serve:

  • Serve right away while it's ice cold.

Garnish:

  • Add leftover cut fruit and berries to the rim of each serving glass for garnish.

Notes

TIPS:

  1. If using frozen berries or if the smoothie is too thick, add just a little liquid at a time (such as water, almond milk, orange juice) until it is at the desired consistency.
  2. Depending on the size of your blender you may need to make one serving at a time by dividing each of the above ingredients in half.
