Honey Citrus and Thyme Iced Tea

Ingredients
For the Container
A 1/2 gallon size (2 quarts) glass mason jar with a lid
For the Tea:
Cold water
7
black tea bags
1/2
orange
sliced (including rind)
1/2
lemon
sliced (including rind)
1/2
lime
sliced (including rind)
5
small
springs fresh thyme
1
tablespoon
honey
or to taste
For the Garnish:
Slices
of orange, lemon and lime
Sprigs of thyme
Instructions
For the Tea:
Fill a thoroughly cleaned jar 3/4 full of water. Add slices of orange, lemon and lime to the jar.
Tie the thyme together with food-safe string, or put the thyme in a narrow cake decorating tip, and add to the jar.
Add the honey, stir and cap with the lid.
Put in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
Remove and discard the tea bags from the jar. With a long slotted spoon or tongs, remove the slices of citrus and thyme. Stir and serve over ice.
For the Garnish:
To the serving glasses, add slices of orange, lemon and lime, and small sprigs of thyme.
Store remaining tea in the refrigerator for no more than 2 days before serving.
