For the Sugar and Cinnamon Coating:
1/4cupgranulated sugar

Cookie Dough - Dry Ingredients
2-3/4cupsall-purpose flour
1teaspoonbaking soda
2teaspoonscream of tartar
1/2teaspoonsalt
Cookie Dough - Butter, Sugar and Eggs
1cup (2 sticks)softened butter (salted)
1-1/2cupsgranulated sugar
2eggs
Equipment
Large cookie sheet or sheets (baking pans)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
Sugar and Cinnamon Coating:
In a small bowl, add sugar and cinnamon. Mix together until combined and set aside.
Cookie Dough - Dry Ingredients
In a medium size bowl, add flour, cream of tartar, baking soda and salt. Whisk together and set aside.
Cookie Dough - Butter, Sugar and Eggs
In a large mixing bowl, add softened butter, sugar and eggs. Beat with a mixer until creamy.
Cookie Dough:
To the butter and sugar mixture, slowly add the dry ingredients a little at a time while beating with a mixer on the lowest speed.
Cookie Dough - Roll into Dough Balls
Roll 1-1/2 teaspoons of dough into a ball for each cookie and set them on a large plate.
Cookie Dough Balls - Coat in Cinnamon and Sugar
Roll each cookie dough ball in the sugar and cinnamon mixture to coat all sides.
Place the dough balls on an ungreased cookie sheet leaving an even amount of empty space in between each one (the cookies will need to be baked in batches).
Bake:
Bake in a preheated oven (at 350 degrees F.) until the bottoms of the cookies turn a golden color (about 11 minutes).
