Veggie Berry Smoothie

A cinch to throw together and you'd never know this delicious smoothie has vegetables in it.

Ingredients

For the Smoothie:

  • 1/4 cup orange juice
  • 1/4 cup almond milk (original flavor, unsweetened)
  • 1/2 cup Greek plain yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 1 cup blackberries
  • 8 medium to large size whole strawberries
  • 7 whole spinach leaves (including stems)
  • 2 whole kale leaves (small to medium size leaves including stems)
  • 1/2 cup purple (red) cabbage chopped in large pieces
  • 2 tablespoons flax seed (optional)
  • 1 cup carrots chopped in large pieces
  • 10 large ice cubes

For Garnish:

  • Blackberries for garnish

Equipment

  • Blender

Instructions

For the Smoothie:

  • In a blender add orange juice, almond milk, yogurt, honey, blackberries, strawberries, spinach, kale, purple cabbage, carrots, flax seed (optional), and ice. 
  • Blend together on the smoothie or milkshake setting until smooth.
    If the consistency is too thick add more almond milk a little at a time using the pulse setting to blend together. 
  • After blending the smoothie, do a taste test and add more honey if needed.

Garnish and Serve:

  • Add blackberries to the rim of the serving glasses for garnish.
  • Serve right away while it's ice cold.

Notes

TIP:

  1. If the consistency is too thick add more almond milk a little at a time using the pulse setting to blend together.
