9 Comfort Food Ideas for Autumn

Now that it’s Autumn, it’s a great time to make some comfort food.

Actually, anytime is a great time for making comfort food but now that it’s getting darker out earlier in the eve it’s a good excuse for cooking up some family faves.

I love to make fried chicken and it makes the house smell so good when it’s cooking.  So I added not one, but two fried chicken recipe ideas below.

One-skillet meals are the best when trying to get dinner on the table quickly.  One of my favorite go-to skillet pasta recipes is included in this roundup too.

And of course a grilled cheese sandwich (made with brown butter and onion rings) falls under comfort food, and so does a good old sloppy joe sandwich.

Since we’re heading into soup season you’ll find two delicious soup recipes.

And because salt-crusted baked potatoes are so scrumptious, you’ll find one that’s topped with ground beef and thyme gravy that’s a meal in itself.

So let’s check out these recipes.
