Ham and Blue Cheese Green Salad {Homemade Dressing}
A mixed green salad with ham, crumbled blue cheese and blackberries that also includes an easy homemade blue cheese dressing.
This wonderful salad has so much flavor going on.
A little sweet, a little savory then repeat.
Fresh blackberries, dried cranberries, crumbled blue cheese, Black Forest sliced ham, shelled edamame, and vegetables…and it’s all served over mixed greens.
This recipe also includes an easy-to-make homemade blue cheese salad dressing.
Enjoy this salad for lunch, dinner, as a side dish or appetizer.

Salad – mixed greens, Black Forest ham, carrots, cucumbers, shelled edamame, blackberries, dried cranberries, and crumbled blue cheese
Blue Cheese Dressing – mayonnaise, milk, pepper, crumbled blue cheese, salt, lemon juice, and onion powder
HOW TO MAKE THIS RECIPE

For the Salad:
Add the mixed greens to a platter or individual serving plates.
Next, top the greens with the carrots,
shelled edamame…
…which is a great freezer pantry item to have on hand for salads,
and snacks too.
Then add the cucumbers.
Next roll the slices of ham together in one big roll and slice the ham widthwise in thin strips.
Add the ham on top of the salad.
Then top with the dried cranberries,
…crumbled blue cheese and blackberries.
Set aside in the refrigerator to chill while making the dressing.
For the Blue Cheese Dressing:
In a small bowl add the mayonnaise, milk, lemon juice, salt, pepper, onion powder and blue cheese.
Whisk together.
Just before serving…
…drizzle the blue cheese dressing on the salad.

Ingredients
For the Salad:
- 2 servings of mixed greens
- 1/2 cup sliced carrots sliced widthwise
- 1/4 cup shelled edamame
- 1/2 cup sliced and quartered hothouse cucumber or a regular cucumber
- 1/4 pound thinly sliced Black Forest ham Roll the slices of ham together in one big roll and slice the ham widthwise in thin strips.
- 1/4 cup dried cranberries
- 1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
- 1 cup fresh whole blackberries
For the Blue Cheese Dressing:
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
- 4 dashes salt
- 5 dashes ground black pepper
- 4 dashes onion powder
- 3 tablespoons crumbled blue cheese
Instructions
For the Salad:
- To a platter or individual serving plates, add the mixed greens.
- Top the greens with sliced carrots, shelled edamame and cut pieces of cucumbers.
- Top the salad with ham, dried cranberries, crumbled blue cheese and blackberries. Set aside in the refrigerator to chill while making the dressing.
For the Blue Cheese Dressing:
- In a small bowl add mayonnaise, milk, lemon juice, salt, pepper, onion powder and blue cheese. Whisk together.
- Just before serving, drizzle blue cheese dressing on the salad.
