Honey Mustard Slaw Hot Dog
Your friends and family thank you in advance for making them this honey mustard slaw hot dog.
For those times when you plain old have no energy left in the day to cook, how about a hot dog.
Not just any hot dog but one with juicy sweet slaw that’s topped with honey roasted peanuts.
And the best of all, how about a hot dog on a soft pretzel roll.
I came up with this slaw dog for the sole purpose of using soft pretzel rolls that I found in the fresh bakery section at Walmart.
These rolls are really good.
For this recipe the hot dogs are grilled on the BBQ but feel free to warm them in the microwave or boil them if preferred.
The main topping on this scrumptious hot dog is a quick and easy homemade honey mustard coleslaw salad.
It tastes wonderful to bite into the hot dog and get fresh coleslaw along with each bite.
Let’s check out the ingredients for this slaw dog.
Honey Mustard Coleslaw – shredded green cabbage, carrots, green onions, mayonnaise, honey, Dijon mustard, prepared yellow mustard, salt and pepper
Slaw Dogs – hot dogs, pretzel hot dog buns, honey mustard coleslaw, honey roasted peanuts and black sesame seeds

Very tasty! I didn’t completely follow the recipe since I didn’t have all the ingredients around, but everything still worked out even though I forgot the salt and pepper and kinda eyeballed the measurements.
I had some extra sesame honey mustard dip I had lying around and added equal parts mayo and regular (non-honey) roasted peanuts along with the scallions and carrots.
Hi Alex, the sesame mustard dip sounds so good for the slaw. And so do the regular roasted peanuts. Your changes sound delcious. Thank you for letting me know how it turned out!
Wow, that looks like one hearty hot dog. I like the added nuts for crunch.
Thank you!
Wow this looks sooo delicious and super easy to make 🙂
